Attending SOLIDWORKS World is always a blast and 2015 was no different. I, Tom Cote, was given the opportunity to present again. This year I chose to speak about Understanding File Management and File Relations. The session was for beginners to help teach how SOLIDWORKS references files, the order SOLIDWORKS searches for files, and the importance of file names. I also shared how to manage and change file references, the benefits of using Pack & Go, and how to fix broken references. As many have asked to have a copy of the presentation you can view and download the PDF here. To see highlights and some of my past SOLIDWORKS World topics, please check out the SWW YouTube page. Be sure to let me know your thoughts and what you learned at SWW 2015!
When Applied CAD Solutions was founded in 2011 by Tom Cote the focus was getting off the ground quickly for customers. Four years later, Tom decided that it was time to rebrand ACS’s original branding to better align his company to his vision and customer-base. The rebranding included a new logo, website, letterhead, invoices, business cards, PowerPoint template, branding guide and embroidered shirts. It was important to Tom that the new branding was modern, versatile, and easy to maintain. Through the skills of Maggie Weeks, this was made possible. Together they modernized the brand identity to an edgy design with bold colors and versatile fonts. In order to make the new components easy to maintain, Maggie created the website with WordPress and created a versatile PowerPoint template for Tom’s frequent speaking engagements.
Both Maggie and I are excited about the new face of ACS and can’t wait to hear your feedback!
Since many of you have asked for the presentations for the SWUG here they are.
